Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park gets its name from the river that threads its way through the reserve.

This National Park is well known for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular between June and September. We call it a high season for the tourist activities from the East to the Northern circuit and parks.

When visiting Tarangire National Park during the dry period, thousands of animals, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, eland, hartebeest and the rarely seen oryx and gerenuk migrate from the dry Maasai steppe to the Tarangire River, looking for water

This time around, Lion, leopards, cheetahs and other predators follow the herds for survival in the jungle.

Tarangire National Park has the largest elephant population of any other park in the Northern circuit. Also, it’s home to 550 varieties of birds, including the Kori bustards, which are the heaviest flying birds.
