Did you know that Lake Ngosi is the second-largest crater lake in Africa?

Located in Mbeya, this stunning and enormous lake, covering approximately 9,332 hectares, is believed to be home to a rare fish species named after its host, the ‘Lake Ngosi Tilapia’.

This fascinating lake is thought to be shaped like Africa, making it a sensational piece of nature.

N.B: Lake Ngosi lacks tributaries and distributaries, making it an independent water body.
