Here is an interesting safari fact about the ‘Queens of the Prideland’, Female lions are more vocal than their male counterparts (like the extremely vocal species we know so well). They tend to communicate with each other in various ways.

Lionesses roar, grunt, and even use a high-pitched call (possibly higher than an opera singer) to announce they have hit the jackpot – a meal with a larger portion to satisfy each huntress, plus the extended family.

Sometimes, they use this communication style to coordinate activities, like planning the next hunt and deciding where, and possibly even what will be targeted!
