Domestic Tourism Increase at Mpanga Kipengere

Mpanga Kipengere Wildlife Reserve, under the Tanzanian Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA) in collaboration with Chikanda Tourism Company in Mbeya, has launched a campaign to promote local tourism among university and college students within the Southern Highlands, especially in Mbeya.

The Head of the Reserve, Donasian Makoi, welcomes and applauds students for visiting and highlighting the reserve’s unique attractions such as waterfalls, Chief Mkwawa’s Cave, Ibaga Flower Area, and natural vegetation.

The students have expressed their gratitude to the Tanzanian government for affordable entrance fees and services provided by the reserve staff. They also encourage fellow youth, particularly those in universities, to explore tourist destinations during their studies and become advocates for such places.
