Global tourism companies have shown interest in investing in Tanzania, particularly in accommodation, transportation, and tourism promotion.
During the ongoing ITB Tourism Exhibition in Berlin, Germany, the Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, Angellah Kairuki, expressed delight in meeting the TUI Group, which has invested in Zanzibar and is expected to launch its ninth hotel by June.
The minister also talked with a U.S. and Puerto Rican-based company expected to bring more than 40 transportation agents to various locations in Tanzania starting this May.
Furthermore, a discussion with the Expedia Group and a Slovakian company focused on collaborating on tourism advertising.
The Managing Director of the Tanzania Tourist Board, Damasi Mfugale, stated that Tanzania’s participation in the exhibition serves as encouragement to increase the number of tourists in the country.
