Lions’ paws and claws are strong enough to take down prey much larger than themselves.
Their paws have a lot of strength and are designed in such a way that they can grip and hold onto their prey to avoid escape. Furthermore, their retracted claws can extend to grip their prey as well.
These features make lions’ paws and claws very useful during their hunt for prey or as a defense.
